Tour Detail

Package Overview
Beginning Chennai, this special South India Pilgrimage Tour takes you to Mahabalipuram lying on the Coromandel Coast which faces the Bay of Bengal. The place has been so named after a rude cruel king Mahabali, who reined this place and lost his life in a fierce battle with Lord Vishnu. Visit and explore the temples and monuments that mark the legendary history of the place. Then visit the former French Colony of Pondicherry and walk through the renowned Sri Aurobindo Ashram and experience the serenity of its beaches and backwaters. Further explore the great Brihadeshwara Temple in Tanjore, one of the most magnificent Chola temples in India, and the Art Gallery and Saraswati Mahal library houses placed in the Tanjore Palace. Move farther to experience the magnificence and awe-inspiring exquisiteness of Trichy, which is mystically beautiful because of the presence of Rock Fort, Sri Rangam and Sri Ranganathaswami Temples. Finally call it off at Madurai after paying homage at the famous Madurai Temple, Tirumalai Nayak Palace and the Gandhi Museum.
